I found someone's slipper under the bed at the Park Hyatt in Philly. I guesss someone must have kicked it under the bed by accident.

6 of us were in Chicago for a Bachlor party, got a suite at the Sheraton hotel and towers. Found a stack of business cards that belong to some guy named John XXXXXX. They (Not me I swear) were all were handing them out all over Chicago, prentending they were John, giving them to all these random girls and some "guys" telling them all to call them.
At the airport on the way home, some guy approached a friend of mine and was calling him "John" - we were in tears we had so much fun!!!

I've found underwear in the back of the closet. I found a cashmere shawl on the top shelf of the closet. I've found money but never any great memorable amount--just dollars or change. I found people's postcards that they forgot to mail (I mailed them for them). I've found a bottle of wine on more than one occasion. I've found keys and key rings full of keys. I've found earrings and costume jewelry. I've found socks and a half-eaten orange under the same bed (like the above poster, yes, I do look). I guess I've mostly found mundane things.

Only thing I can remember finding recently was a condom wrapper on the floor near the bed at the Sheraton Skyline.
On the other hand, I hope housekeeping found the Chicken Sagwalla I accidentally left in the in-room fridge when I stayed at the Sheraton Hamilton last time..

Sheraton Old San Juan
My one year old son dug up a condom wrapper from in between the couch cushions of our suite at the Sheraton Old San Juan....we chuckled until he dug up a "pasty" from under the bed....Mama was none too happy, but I'll bet the guy with the stripper and the condom was! :-)

Not SPG specific, but just weird things I found in hotels:
-Love letter from a guy to his date. The letter failed to serve its purpose because I found it in a trash bin torn in half.
-Contract documents left in the safe by some careless employee. I hope his boss doesn't fire him for the snafu.
-Some guy's pet turtle. It is not indigenous because the turtle has a name tag.
-Amateur sex video. Poorly filmed and the girl is butt ugly, the thing that totally grossed me out though is that I can tell from the video it was filmed in the same room I was staying in.
-A three pronged vibrator..... no explaination needed!

Sheraton Universal last May, for a conference. Get back to my room on the first night, fall into bed asleep, get up at 2am to use the restroom.
And nearly step into a used condom at the edge of the bed. In my bare feet.
Clearly, I'd missed it when getting into bed. I gingerly picked it up with tissue paper and flushed it. In the morning, I spoke with the front desk. They seemed a bit unconcerned and offered to buy me a drink. I suggested they may want to have a talk with housekeeping.
Eeeew. It was the grossest thing I've found in a hotel room in two years of traveling every week. Never staying there again. Ever.

sheraton manhattan. body fluids which might have been avoided had a condom wrapper been found in the room instead. big big mess on the duvet cover that i thought was washed in-between guests.
mostly staying in hiltons when in nyc these days...

I worked in Engineering 10-12 years ago in a hotel very close to the UN in NYC. The hatch in the closet to access valves etc for the HVAC was a favorite place for out of town diplomats to hide the various sexual paraphanalia that I assume would get them in chains back home! I don't want to mention the specific hotel, so my old buddies dont have to put up with everyone getting up there looking for the goodies.

i cant remember if it was a starwood property or not, but i remember i was about 10, staying in LA with some family for my uncles wedding and one of my cousins found a porno mag (real hardcore...hustler maybe?) in the one of the end tables at the hotel. we snuck off somewhere and looked at it along with one of our other cousins. we all wanted to seem real cool like it was old hat, but im betting it was the first time any of us had seen anything like that. good times.

This morning at the Westin Providence (which, for the record, is a horrible hotel... but I'll save those details for Yelp) as I was packing I did my quick check through the room to verify that I hadn't forgotten anything - and I found some leather device under the couch.
