Can anyone tell me if the Aladdin in Vegas allows complimentary access to the Fitness Center for Platinum guests?

Nope. I believe it's $20. They say because the spa (which includes the gym) is seperately owned and managed, they can't offer it free.
But check out their specials on the web; they often have comped spa entrance as part of a package.

I can tell you it is easily worth the $20 for the steam and jaccuzi alone. You need a steam room in Vegas with the dry air. And they have a fairly decent fitness center too. The spa area is very comfortable and your entrance fee buys you all the free water you could want and fruit too. The relaxation area is very nice.
