I have already renewed the SPG 100 this year.
This means I will not have the 50 and 75 benefits before next year?

Are you talking about SNAs? If so, you should have had the choice to pick 10 SNAs at 50 nights. I seriously doubt they will be granting additional SNAs. Had you crossed 75 nights after the merge then there would have been a chance to get an additional 5 SNAs.

Sorry I am late to the last 20 pages. I have 1300 Marriot points and 10700 starwood pts. I guess I have to transfer them by the 18th? Should I or do I transfer the SPG pts into marriot or vice versa? Not sure what to do. TIA!

I believe they will be combined on the 18th. When you log in you will choose one of the current programmes and I would expect to see the points merge at that stage.

Is there a reason you think you need to merge them? If the points are not transferred, each account will be moved into the new program/system on the 18th and SPG balances will be converted to the Marriott currency, after which you can move your points into a single account by combining/merging the accounts.

Check your emails, you should have directions that tell you your SPG number will be changed when the programs merge and you'll be notified when you log into your SPG account showing your previous SPG points times 3 in your account. At some point, you will be asked to merge your two accounts by picking the one you want to keep (no difference in which one you choose) and enter the number of your other account and all the data will be combined at that point. There is no rush to merge your accounts UNLESS you will be getting a higher status with the combination.

Quite possibly, but of more concern, SPG Loyalists are sure to feel their program has been "Marr"ed while others in the mix are having a "Riot!"

Am I the only one not receiving any correspondence from MPG? And yes I am set to receive emails from them; and no, that's not even required to get info regarding the program itself.

The best ink pens were always at Le Parker Meridien. They almost made the terrible Platinum treatment worth it.

So once the programs are integrated by Saturday afternoon (if all goes well), where do we go to book awards - marriott.com, spg.com? Or what phone number to call for that?

Expect them all to roll together, so keep calling where you've been calling, keep using the URL you've been using. As long as you have two different accounts, I suggest using marriott.com for MR and spg.com for SPG, not that it should matter much. I suspect they will retire the spg.com URL sometime down the road.

And, don't expect the migration to be over much before Monday morning.

I thought I saw this information elsewhere, but might be recalling it incorrectly and now can't find it, so...

I have a 35,000 (SPG points) one-night award redemption booked for a Starwood property for later this year. Am I correct in assuming that, after Aug. 18 I'll be able to convert it to a 60,000 (new Marriott points) stay, with the balance of 45,000 (new Marriott points) refunded into my account? And if I can't do that and decide to cancel the stay, will there be any problem getting 105,000 (new Marriott) points refunded into my account?

Thanks for any help.
