Household Points Transfer Limit
Is there a limit to how many points household family members can transfer me. I'm interested in a few packages but am about 85k points short (and noticed a 35% spg discount on purchased points). I have 3 family members I'd love to have transfer me, but have read conflicting news on the limits of such transfers.
Thanks!
Thanks!

There is no maximum number of Starpoints capped however the transfer has to be in 1000 Starpoints increment. Members must share the same residential mailing address that is not a P.O. Box, APO or SPO address for a minimum of 30 days prior to requesting the transfer. For more info, you may click here under "Give Starpoints".

How long does the transfer take to complete? (I submitted a request today. My wife's account has been open greater than 30 days.)

With the sudden uptick in volume, it may be taking 10 business days now.

No, but it is changing a bit to closer match current Marriott Rewards policies:
D3. Will members be able to transfer points to other members? If so, under what circumstances?
Points transfer will continue to exist as it does today. Members can share points with any Rewards member they choose. Members can transfer 1,000-50,000 points per year. <added by Starwood Lurker 19Apr18>

And one more clarification (that you may not know the answer to) Will a transfer initiated prior to 8/17 from one SPG account to another that deposits post 8/18 because of delayed transfer times still count under SPG limits or will it count against the 50000? For many years we have transferred all of my husband's Starpoints from his SPG Amex to my account to consolidate. With this new rule he is switching to an authorized user card on my account but because of posting times we may end up initiating a transfer on 8/16.
Thanks!

Thursday seems to be the sweet spot for transfers for me. I initiated a transfer last Friday and on Monday. Both of them occurred early evening yesterday.

Can you clarify something that has been confusing me? I understand that the transfer limit will be 50,000. But (for instance) can a member receive 50,000 each from 2 different family members (FI 100,000 total) or is the amount one receives limited to 50,000 as well?
And one more clarification (that you may not know the answer to) Will a transfer initiated prior to 8/17 from one SPG account to another that deposits post 8/18 because of delayed transfer times still count under SPG limits or will it count against the 50000? Points Sharing
A limit of 50,000 points per year may be transferred into or out of a member’s account. Members who are transferring points in order to satisfy a specific award may exceed the 50,000 limit up to the amount needed to satisfy the reservation.
