Booking 2 rooms on my name, guests in other room will arrive and check in earlier
So if I book 2 rooms under my name and SPG number, and add my brothers name to the res so he can check in earlier since he arrives before I do, will I still receive the night/stay and points credit?

Yes. Just add your credit card to his reservation when you arrive. You may want to call ahead to the hotel to make sure it all goes smoothly.
