I wish we had more to offer on this, but this is all we have at the moment.

One question here. The double points and 500 bonus points for the weekend is eligible from the 2nd stay on participating hotel. Let's say I had my 1st stay at SPG hotel, but that particular hotel is not participating. Then my 2nd stay is on the participating hotel. Will I get the double points and the 500 points here on my 2nd stay (assuming it is a weekend stay)? Thanks.

If I check in before the earning period begins or check out after the earning period ends, but some of my stay is in the earning period, does my stay earn the bonus?
Yes, as long as one night of the eligible stay is within the earning period, bonus Starpoints will be earned (even if part of the stay falls outside the earning period).
The night of April 15th is within the earning period. Does this help?

Absolutely! U r a star, thanks William!
I found this in the FAQ in the wiki:

Yes, as long as one night of the eligible stay is within the earning period, bonus Starpoints will be earned (even if part of the stay falls outside the earning period).

Haha. I just saw that promo! It starts on the 3rd night. And the 4 hotels I have stayed at , none of them participate! haha SPG is ridiculously bad.
Also .. when I called in a few months ago about how bad my stays count double promo was since I was already lifetime Platinum, it would have been nice if they would have shared that promo with me.
This just re-confirms everything I am saying. I have never even heard of a non-participating hotel. 10 years in Marriott and I have never been told I cannot have a bonus because the hotel does not participate.

And the bit about saying they should have shared the promo info with you also doesn't make sense. These promos are open to everybody. If you read FT or check your dashboard or read emails from SPG or visit their website at anytime then it's virtually impossible to miss unless you're currently based on the International Space Station.
The great majority of properties DO participate in the promos. So I guess you're a pretty unlucky guy to have 4/4 that aren't part of it. At least it gives you a good excuse to rant against SPG, like you're doing on other threads.
