147k promo points means almost $15k in spending... pretty sure plat amenity pts alone would exceed 7k in spg... plus knowing hilton, beachfront room is probably priced dynamically anyways at 145k/nt...

It's a little early to be concerned about that.
Prize Fulfillment and Conditions: Starpoints and Free Night Award will be available in the SPG member’s account within three weeks from the Game Period end date. Use and expiration of Starpoints are pursuant to the terms and conditions of the SPG program. Free Night Awards must be consumed by December 31, 2016.
The game ends on September 11th. If you don't get your game prize Starpoints by October 3rd, feel free to let us know and we'll look into it at that time.

Play every day, but I never win anything on these things. The only time I ever won anything was on that Hilton game promo a few years back where the top players got diamond status, however they killed the game and didn't award the status. After that I moved most of my business to Starwood. Although I suppose I should thank Hilton, as I'm much happier with SPG than I ever was with HHonors.

Looking at the way the prizes are allocated :
On the first day, it is probable that there were seeded tags timed before the instant the promo was announced, so the first few entrants would have swept them up. As evidenced by posts #2, #3, #4, #5, #6 and #7 of this thread.
Sadly, that initial win rate won't apply now.
The Game Period is randomly seeded with winning time tags. Each play that occurs throughout the Game Period will be stamped based upon the exact date/time of day the play was completed ("Time Stamped"), and then recorded in Sponsor’s "Game Database." The Time Stamp of the play will determine the first play recorded after a scheduled winning tag. A registered entry Time Stamped immediately after a scheduled winning tag time will be identified as a potential winner
