SPG Gold 20%
SPG Platinum 25%
This offer, that Le Meridien Chiang Mai has (other properties probably have the same one), would certainly be more efficient than many offers, often too complicated, from 'Restaurants and Bars'.
Giving the same discount to someone that just picked up a SPG application form on the Front Desk counter, as to a Platinum guest dedicated to Starwood, is probably not perceived as fair by many, even if it might follow some business logic and assumptions.
Adding SPG Platinum with Ambassadors 30% would even be better
