Can anyone confirm that cash + points rooms are eligible? I thought they were only eligible for 1 stay credit

If points (250/500) are selected for the plat amenity should 3x points be issued or just one?

Doesn't say from what I can find on the T&C pages and I'd assume no, but wanted to check.

Plat benefits for multiple room in different hotels...???

I don't get it. So how many rooms do elite benefits extend to when booking multiple rooms? If it's just the one (the room that the Plat is staying at), then why not just book multiple rooms at 2 different hotels? How would this change the scenario? The Plat can just check-in at both, but just stay in one AND receive Plat benefits for both rooms, right?

Am I missing something?

Up to three room night credits per night

It's quite easy to understand:
  • A member can book as many rooms as he wants.
  • A member gets points, stay credits, night credits for up to three rooms per night.
  • A member gets elite perks for one room only per hotel per night.

Often, the hotels extend the benefits to more than one room. But remember, you don't take it for given because that is a gift from the hotel if they extend the benefits to other rooms.

+1

And I would add that you can also get stay and night credits for using Cash&Points or PointsOnly for any of the three rooms. But of course no points.

Absolutely, points only and points & cash bookings do qualify the same way that revenue bookings do.

the benefits are only for the room the plat member is staying in....there are many hotels that extend the benefit to all rooms booked by the plat member but that is at the discretion of the property....

if you booked 2 rooms in 2 different hotels for the same night then you would only get stay/night credit & points for one room, where as you would get 2 stay/night credits & points if you booked both room in the same hotel....

So you're saying that if I book 2 rooms in 2 different hotels, I will get plat benefits for only 1 room (even though I check-in at both hotels)??? So, the hotel will know that you're staying at a different hotel that same night???

There is a good chance you would get on-site benefits, but once the property posts (or an audit sweep occurs), you may loose stay/night/point credit for one of the two (any guess which one?). The T&Cs call for you to stay & pay to earn credit. No one has been able to prove the ability to be in two places at one time. Certain circumstances may allow two properties to count for the same date (i.e crossing dateline) but very rare.

The better bet is to be very pleasant while checking in and see if they will extend benefits to both rooms. That has been known to happen way more often than getting credit for two different properties.

I had a bunch of stays with 2 rooms, all booked and paid by me.
I seem to only have received stays/nights credit for one room.
How can I request the credit?

It's an old post, but the advice is still good: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/1598262-post4.html

Of course that's presuming the stays were since March of this year...
