Hotel Kämp

Some changes have been made in the alliance structures in March and the legendary Hotel Kämp became a member of The Leading Hotels of the World chain. The SPG membership points program will not continue, but we are pleased to inform that other loyalty program's admired and acknowledged hotel privileges are included also in the future. We also welcome all Leaders Club members to stay and experience the true hospitality of Hotel Kämp.

We are also happy to be able to tell you that suites in the Hotel Kämp will get new elegance and will be re-launched in May 2016. New, luxurious apartment residencies for the Hotel Kämp, will be launched in fall 2017.

Klaus K Hotel

We are also pleased to tell you that Kämp Collection Hotel - Hotel Klaus K will become a member of the highly valued SPG program. Klaus K, the most prestigious lifestyle design hotel in Helsinki, will have the exclusivity of the program in the Finnish capital. I love this trend of new interesting hotels coming on. Will try the C-Hotel near Milan in early May.

Is there any word about any of the Munich hotels joining? Good coverage by SPG already but fresh wind would be welcomed.

Just completed a stay at the Glad Hotel in Seoul. No room upgrade or late check out. Standard 12pm check out.
But overall, really liked the hotel. Very convenient option from ICN. 30 mins by bus 6030 to National Assembly. 50 mins on the return journey.
Points posted as normal.
Looking forward to the Nest Hotel in Incheon as an alternative to the Grand Hyatt Incheon.

Germany missing.

Our son & his wife will be trying Palazzina G in December. The hotel looks amazing. A great addition to Starwood's already impressive line up in Venice.

Just tried to book a night (2 actually) using points at the GLAD Hotel Yeouido, Seoul and there isn't a single standard award night available starting April 2016. Spoke to the PLT concierge who called the hotel to confirm they have no standard rooms available.

I find it hard to believe that a property has -0- standard rooms available through its entire calendar. Anyone else run into such an issue with a Design property?

Can you find a date where a standard non-smoking Queen-bedded room is selling at a paid rate?

Other than this, they do have award rooms for sale from September 1 - 11, 2017.

I see Standard 2 Twins and Standard Queen available every day I search -- heck the room is called STANDARD.

sample bookings I tried: may 18th, august 9-25, sept 1 through nov 23. All show standard queen and 2 twin with nothing available for points.

Looking at the Sept 2017 dates you mentioned I do see a smaller queen room (24 sq m) which is available for points and this room is not available on any other dates.

Can you see how many of the 319 total rooms at this property are considered "standard" for the purposes of redeeming SPG points? If so, can you share? If so, what is that number?

Just seems fishy.

That may be, but the only room on the award rate plan is specifically the one I mentioned.

Then it seems to be working as designed.

Appreciate the information/confirmation and understood. While I certainly do hope this property does well, I can't help but feel like something is fishy.

So ... I decided to look elsewhere and I'm coming up with results that aren't consistent to what I would expect if no rooms were available for points.

Jan 21, 2017 for 1 night - I cannot book a 24 sq m room at starwoodhotels.com but I can through agoda.com. This would be the same room that is bookable using points.

What am I missing? Do 3rd party sites show inventory that the starwoodhotels.com doesn't show?

So "Design Hotel" is somehow looking like a "Resort" which no late checkout/upgrade guaranteed ?
