Australia/New Zealand Starwoods
Anyone ever stay at any of the Starwoods
"down under"? We're looking at a trip in
December and would love to stay at some nice

There are a number of posts if you use the search. Summary:
There is a Westin in Sydney and Melbourne. I have stayed in the one in Sydney and it is wonderful. Everyone says the one in Melbourne is too.
There is a Sheraton in Sydney and it is also very nice with exceptional black marble bathrooms. The Sheraton in Brisbane and Perth are rather ordinary.
The Sheraton Mirage on the Gold Coast is a very nice property as is the Sheraton Mirage Port Douglas. Both have well landscaped office park architecture, so keep that in mind if you like small intimate resorts.
There is a Luxury Collection property in Melbourne and everyone says that is fantastic.
On average Australia has very high quality accomodation at every price range.
