Points redeposited when an award stay is cancelled counts as points earned.
By including them, I can exactly reconcile to what SPG says I earned. More specifically, the cutoff date for SPG's numbers is either December 17 or 18 (I had no activity on Dec 18 so can't tell)
75 nights
60 stays
42 properties
33 cities (using SPG's overly literal definition)
8 brands
To hit 75, I booked 3 rooms at a Cat 1 property on points, on the final Friday of the year (to get the weekend rate). At checkin, I was told that 10 other people had done something similar. One person actually booked 9 rooms (he apparently had 3 accounts that he hadn't merged).

...and it says I earned 598,370 starpoints, which is complete nonsense. Maybe 200k or so.

23/50.
Lack of work related travel, and spending Q1/Q2 doing IHG Big Win, hurt.
348 nights and 7 years (I think) toward lifetime platinum. Hoping to get it before 2020, and maybe 2018 if I do some long stays in Asia.

27/40, all personal and almost all 5* for a change.
It claims I earnt 150k points which doesn't seem right and would mean I spent a lot more than I thought. If I were to average $600 a night that would mean 50% on promos, whereas I think it's more like 20k on promos. It might not have been far off if it calculated my SNAs as spend which I think would have cost me nearly $10k if I had paid for the larger rooms.

Y'know - this is something that I think Starwood do rather poorly. This is not the complete year, rather it cut off somewhere around the 15th of December (going by the # of nights / stays I show as having). Since not everyone just stops traveling 2 weeks before New Year's, I'd like to see one of the following in 2015:
- Have this script/sweep run on 12/31, and we all get the announcements on Jan 1, 2016
or (preferably for all the developments/web admin team)
- Have this page be dynamically generated based on the search criteria of member/date_range. That's the lazy_engineer (read: more automated/efficient) way to do it and would likely generate a more complete and satisfying picture for those of us staying right up through Dec 31st.

Stays 48. Nights 53. Didn't know about all the perks until late February, so it could have easily been 75 nights. Next year!
