Crud. Virtually all New England properties are non-participatory this time around.

Wow... Good catch... I'm always surprised how people find that and, moreover, how people get access to "inside info" a month in advance: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/starw...t=promo+2014:D
Good news: registration already worked.^
Better news: love triple points, though hoped to avoid Friday nights
Somewhat unhappy: Westin Edmonton doesn't participate. Ok, will stay at a 4Ps.
Bottom line: good old *wood never disappoints. ^

Almost half my nights are in non-participating hotels!

But I'll take it I guess.

Bang for the buck, assuming Marriott's is stronger? I do a lot of one night stays so this is worthless for that.

Any other SPG100s who instead of going for more SPG, have diversified over to a 2nd program? I'm feeling Marriott calling my name...

SPG might as well not have bothered with a promo. A 2-night minimum that rules out 95% of my stays...

the second: two night (or more) stays that include either a Friday or a Saturday.

This one is indeed for leisure travellers...
