Chi-Fi abandons Westin Chicago River North event

A science fiction convention has been postponed, due to staff at the intended venue apparently being disrespectful and incompetent.

Sounds like a money problem,

Ever try the $20.00 bill trick, they say it works in Vegas.

....and the world take a collective sigh of relief!

Another situation where one perspective is posted.

I don't know why the world would do that.

Another situation where one perspective is posted.
Pretty much inevitable, when one party isn't saying much. The response from the hotel shown on the TV interview is quite brief.

we requested that the hotel make changes to ensure that our attendees and guests be treated with the same respect as any other Westin hotel guests.
I'm curious what changes they requested Westin make, and why they assume that they wouldn't be treated like "any other Westin hotel guests" without changes.

Seems we'll never know.

After reading the letter, one must assume the event organizers believe Westin does not believe their "other Westin hotel guests" are "freaks".

tl;dr: Few tickets sold. The convention organizers are shady.
