There are no audience rewards questions, is it finished or will they put some up? Also simply transferring 1000 points will reset the expiration?

They have been deliberately non-committal whether transfers between SPG accounts will reset the clock. AS the earlier poster stated, redemption of points should permit you to suvive the cut as would purchasing some sort of meal at a SPG hotel and have your SPG account credited with its cost.

I withdraw this remark:
+1.
My experience is that, no, Audience Rewards points are not earned points, and collecting those points will not extend your expiration date.

Any earned Starpoints, including those earned from Audience Rewards, are going to keep an SPG account active.

What I cannot confirm would work are internal transfers. That is not "earning" Starpoints in the same sense, so I have to assume that it would not. YMMV.
