If an SPG Platinum books 2 rooms, do Platinum benefits extend to both rooms?

Two rooms or two rooms on the club floor?

Generally, benefits are for the member and the person occupying their room.

as per the t&c its only supposed to be the room the plat member occupies....having said that, it all depends on the property....i often book 2 rooms when traveling with my wife & kids....the hotel has always extended benefits like breakfast & lounge access for both rooms....

It would just be two standard rooms and the stay will be at the Westin Hotel near SFO airport. I hope they extend the benefit to the 2nd room, although I understand it's really just for 2.

This is why I like the Hyatt better as their breakfast benefit is for up to 4 guests. A published benefit.

Beginning March 1, those 4 guests are specified as 2 adults and 2 children.

Well, that su*ks. I guess 90% of the time, that would be the scenario anyway, but definitely not as good as before.

Nonetheless, it's better than 2 guests as in the case of SPG.

Seriously? :rolleyes::rolleyes:

How incredibly tacky - they can't even toss in 5 cent bagel or 1 cent slice of toast with the continental breakfast?

Yes, things have gone seriously downhill at the breakfast (with the exception of one waiter who has been there quite a while). Three out of four days, getting a refill on coffee - even during "light" times - proved impossible.

Also, no muffins. Hey, no bread or bagels also saves on jam, jelly, butter, cream cheese, spreads...

For the W New York (midtown) on Lexington - you no longer get free run of the menu for the platinum breakfast. Instead you get the four options for an "American Breakfast" at Heartbeat:

(1) Fresh pastries
(2) Housemade granola or muesli
(3) "Warmth" - steel cut oatmeal with brown sugar & raisins
(4) Two eggs any style with bacon, pork or turkey sausage; crispy potatoes or sliced fruit, toast
