SPG Gold from Amex Platinum - SPG Platinum qualification question
I am a personal Amex Platinum holder which lets me have the SPG Gold status. Now if I want to qualify for SPG Platinum, how does it work? Do I need 50 nights stay or since I am already Gold (25 nights if I had to qualify the hard way), I only need the additional 25 nights?

You will be Gold with 0 stays/ 0 nights and will still need either 25 stays or 50 nights to make Platinum.

Otherwise it would be too easy to obtain Platinum since Gold is given out like candy!

Or do a "Platinum Challenge" (see the SPG forums) if you can stay 15 nights within 3 months.
