Current Time for SPG to AA miles Transfer
Last time, a couple of years ago, I had occasion to transfer SPG Starpoints to AA miles it was instantaneous, as far as I could tell. Transfer on SPG site and see the transfer a minute later on AA.
But, just transfer 20K Starpoints on July 6 and they are not there yet (July 10). I know that SPG says it can take up to two weeks, but, I need to get the AAdvantge award ticket booked by tomorrow and need the transfered miles to cover the One World Award to Asia.
SPG says they can't do anything. And, AA Gold desk says they can't advance the miles--need 15 K more for a 130K award.
Anyway to speed this up. Or, will the miles appear tomorrow in the AA acount--here's hopin'!

SPG transfers on Wed AM and the points post on Wed PM
My last transfer on July 5 posted July 6.
This has been my experience and that of several others on this topic.
Wait until July 14 AM; if they do not post, call SPG then.
You can try booking another award and then canceling; or buy 5k AA
A Diners AA transfer take 48-72 hrs at the most.
A recent DC to AA sent Friday was showing up today in my account.
My last transfer on July 5 posted July 6.

Thanks for the info. Waited until today (Thursday) and the miles transfered last Thursday have now appeared in the AAdvantage account.

Does anyone know the best day of the week on which to transfer SPG points to AA, in order to get the AA miles quickly?
I want to be able to complete the transfer in time to ticket an award reservation that is on hold with AA (usually 5~7 days IIRC).
Would a transfer requested early in the week likely post on Thursday of the same week?
I would really appreciate any advice!

I just did this
I just transferred 1000 spg points to AA miles in order to keep my AA miles from expiring.
I did the transfer on 12/27/2011 and they showed up in my AA account on 01/03/2012. I would expect them to post sooner but I believe it was end of the year holiday period for both SPG and AA which might have caused the delay.

Current posting day/time
Does anybody know the current posting day (Wednesday/Thursday etc.) for SPG -> AA transfer from a recent experience. Does the transfer still works if the both the first & last names on SPG and AA account are different? Any insight is highly appreciated. Thanks.

Folks, I did a SPG -> AA transfer on Aug 28 and it hasn't showed until today (Sept 17). Did anybody else did a recent transfer and facing this sort of delay?
