Breakfast is a still a plat benefit at the St Regis Singapore. I was there last week.

Didn't realize this was an Amex FHR property...

Just pulled up the rates...better than BAR but the Debut Offer rate plan I see this month has them beat with all the freebies (Dinner OR Breakfast and Spa Credit(which if I read correct is 1000THB p/p, per night, not per stay)

Not really sure what the value of "Formal afternoon tea service for two" from FHR is as tea isn't really my thing.

Never booked FHR at a Starwood before. I know you get stay/night credit but do Plat benefits apply as well?

So like an FHR upgrade + Plat upgrade = Double Upgrade?

overall it's good

Just checked out st regis bkk yesterday. Overall good experience. As platinum, i got free breakfast for two in Viu, suite upgrade and all other normal benefits. Happy hour was a bit short, only 1.5 hours from 6 to 7:30. Suite is nice but more residential feel (with the round table and four chairs). There were some construction noise at 10-11am in the morning but it didn't last very long. Some minor problems that I belive hotel will fix soon (e.g. no rubbish bin in the guest bathroom)

Overall very nice property and very attentive staff. Will i come back again? Probably yes if it is around 6k baht

I have another room booked at the SGS for my stay anyway so I can see a SR cancellation coming up.

Just checked out a few hours ago. Got UGed to Metropolitian suite. One of the nicer hotel rooms I've stayed in for sure. Staff were fantastic, and I was amazed how they all knew my name. Even got a certificate saying I was the first guest to have stayed in that room. Happy hour consisted of one red and one white wine. Wine was good but would have hoped for a bit more selection. Butler service was great and she even escorted me out of the hotel to the taxi. Almost over the top personal service but liked it nonetheless. Breakfast was quite good w a large selection at the buffet. Can't wait to return if they don't raise their prices too much.

We have contacted the property regarding this. If you are able to send me a copy of the email you have written it would be most helpful.

Thank you for your patience.

Here is a reply from the property regarding fasttrack immigration:

"Please be advised that the Fast Track Immigration Service is only available for those guests who are on a confirmed limousine airport transfer booked with us and our limousines.

The Fast Track Service is not available to those arriving in Bangkok and staying in another hotel and then move while in BKK.

The Fast Track Service always paired and only sold and available with the Hotel Limousine Transfer taking the guest to the St. Regis Bangkok.

The same applies for leaving Thailand. The Fast Track Ticket will be filled out upon departure with the flight number and date of departure once the Hotel Limousine Service has been booked."

Any questions, do let me know.

How was the ambiance?

I dislike the happy hour @ Decanter at the St. Regis Singapore now. too many people, not enough space, the so called luxury wine tasting atmosphere becomes what feels like a flea market.

Emailed the general email. I did mention that I am approaching 40 stays at the SGS so whether that perked them to reply quickly I'm not sure. It certainly shouldn't have, but you know how some places operate...

Thanks William, but I've got it in writing from the Reservation Supervisor (named 'Rain' ) that breakfast at VIU is included, so I'm good to go.

It's a shame the drinks have been downgraded from the previously promised 2 hours in a choice of two bars to just 90 minutes wine tasting a la St Regis Singapore. Bearing in mind the options are one of the big benefits of the SGS package.

I'll give the place a try anyway.

It was alright, very dark and over looking at the four seaons next door. We were the only customers there for the whole HH. Quite limited selection though, one bottle of red, one bottle white and normal cocktails. They provided some nuts but no other snacks or food. One of the few HHs that I was still silver after it.

I was quoted 2900BHT for an airport transfer. The fast track must explain the price, as it's much higher than the SGS.

The SGS offer an optional fast track service too and I think even inclusive of that the SGS is cheaper.
