Platinum year-end gift 2009 Free weekend night extended to May 2, 2010

I hope I haven't missed this in other threads, I tried to do a search but found nothing. I just saw that the year end free weekend night I got at the beginning of this year is now bookable till 04/29/2010 is that right?

If so that would be great as I don't have any travel plans that aren't booked jet till the end of the year.

Yes. That is correct. Except that it has really been extended to Sunday, May 2, 2010.

Are you referring to the 2008 year end Plat gift (free weekend night), or did we receive an additioinal free weekend night at the beginning of 2009?

Thank goodness for FT!!! I almost used my YE Gift at the local Sheraton Sunday night until I happen to check here. I have now changed it to the Parker Palm Springs in February!! We are outta here during the Olympics!!

It is good for those that didn't needlessly burn it early to make sure it didn't expire. I wish I had it back now.....

ARGH!
Although this is really great news for many it comes one day too late for me...

I booked a 1Night stay at the local Westin for today just to get the Plat amenity points (and a good Sunday brunch tomorrow) as I won't have any further future stays in the remainder of 2009.

Now clearly I would not have done so if I knew I could use it till May next year.

When I booked it several weeks back the Platinum Concierge in Singapore confirmed it would expire by end of the year so it must be a very recent amendment...

Hoping for a nice Year end gift in end Dec 2009 now...

Regards

Ham
