Comparison of Continental One Pass with Select Star Alliance Programs
To get the discussion going and to refine the known benefits of One Pass, a preliminary comparison chart (we won't know details until One Pass is a Star Program) of existing Continental One Pass program with select Star Alliance elite programs can be found at:

Seems the upgrade scheme works well for those flying in higher paid fare classes but not for long haul transoceanic (please correct if this is a wrong impression garnered from this thread):

Thanks! ^ Always staying one step ahead obviously.
Just one tiny detail: M&M miles also don't expire for HONs, not just SENs and FTLs.

"I'm not sure exactly what "upgrade scheme" you're talking about. That thread was someone asking about free elite upgrades on transoceanic flights. I don't believe that's part of any *A carrier's program, but feel free to correct me if I'm wrong."
If you go further down the thread to post 24 and beyond they get past the op-up focus and onto how hard it is to upgrade into Business First on long-hauls . . . (some even going so far as to call it bait and switch or fraudulent!)
