Going between Star Alliance and Oneworld
This is my first post to Flyertalk so please excuse me if I'm posting to the wrong board. A simple redirect and I'll post it elsewhere.
The question:
Is there anyway to go between the Star Alliance and OneWorld programs?
I have accumulated 750k miles that are parked with AMEX Platinum, which only allows miles transfers to Star Alliance.
I've used up all the miles with my AAdvantage Platinum Card which only allows booking with OneWorld airlines, and of course I need to travel with a OneWorld airline.
Is there some secret password that will let me transfer miles from AMEX to a OneWorld airline??
Many thanks!

Welcome to FT Jetpuffed!
You are based in the US, correct? The best way for a US based Amex card will most probably be to transfer points to SPG from where you then can transfer to AA.
Have a look at this thread which gives some ideas in regards to a similar problem: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/ameri...ticket-ba.html
