SFO->CDG in United E+ or Lufthansa E?

Just wanted to get some opinions from you all..

My partner and I want to go to Paris this fall - I've got Premier status on United..

I'm thinking Lufthansa (never flown them) economy from SFO->FRA->CDG may be better than United economy plus (SFO->IAD->CDG or SFO->ORD->CDG), but what do you guys think? (Is it worth giving up my extra inches of legroom for Lufthansa service and seats w/ TVs?

Another thing I'm considering - most of the potential itineraries have United 767 and 777s or Lufthansa 747s as the options. United's 767s and 777s are configured with 2 seats on each window, so we could sit just the two of us...Lufthansa's 747s have a 3-4-3 configuration, so we'd have to sit with a stranger..)

Thanks!
Jon

Absolute no brainer to go with UA. But avoid UA 747s.

UA E+ wins here. Lufthansa E = not much.

Another vote for UA E+

I also agree that the seating configuration with the pairs of seats by the windows are much nicer, especially when two are traveling.

Definitely UA E+ for the long haul. Huge difference.

Without a doubt-If you can get the pair (which I assume wont be an issue) theres really no competition. 747 is a bit trickier, but thats not an issue here

Besides the extra legroom, UA has individual screens on the long haul 767 and 777. LH does not.
