TG vs OZ to LAX

For my upcoming trip to back from Asia in business class, I'm considering flying TG (connecting through KIX) and OZ (connecting through ICN).

Does anyone have experience with these airlines on these routes? Is there a definitive winner?

Seat? Food? AVOD? Lounge?

Thanks in advance.

Always a much bigger fan of the food on OZ than TG, for sure.

When I flew TG ex-KIX last year the lounge was an absolute pit, it was right beneath the inter-terminal train and the whole lounge would shake as the train entered and exited the terminal. No interesting food. OZ definitely was superior in terms of lounge offerings at ICN.

I haven't yet flown the new OZ C seat (only F) so I can't offer a comparison, but it certainly won't be inferior to the TG C seat.

How does $$$ compare?

Thanks gleff

$$$ is about the same, hence the dilemma. I fly US airlines often so both will be much better than what I'm accustomed to.

I like OZ better myself.
But, if you originate in BKK, I'd suggest something like BKK-ICN-LAX and depart on TG connecting to OZ.
TG ground service out of BKK is pretty good, and you can relax in SPA lounge.

Check out seatguru.com or seatexpert.com for comparisons of their seats.

I think OZ has better service and is perhaps a bit more reliable these days, what with TG's flight cancellations/schedule recalibrations in the wake of the political disturbances in Thailand, not to mention the possibility of future disturbances.

IMHO OZ wins hands down. The seat is about the same but the service and the food is so much better on OZ.
The only disadvantage might be that depending on what OZ plane you have the IFE might not be AVOD.
