Star Alliance Connections Service
Has anyone had experience with this service? In particular, is their "special software" smart enough to handle connections across multiple tickets?

Sounds like it is just coordinating across *A airlines the delays/misconnection information. Thus unlikely to deal with separate tickets (even when flying the same airline most cannot proactively deal with misconnect risk).
