Best FF program to join for *G status

I currently have *G thru United (1P) however in order to maintain that I have to reach 50,000mi/yr. I primarily fly Delta but when flying in Europe (and LH for Transatlantic) I stick with *A. Is there other FF programs in *A where one needs to fly fewer miles to reach *G status? I have heard that AC only requires 35,000mi/yr however I am not sure if any of those miles have to be on AC metal. What do you guys recommend or suggest? Thanks for the help!

cheers,

Henry

If sitting in Economy Plus means anything to you, be careful about straying from United *G status. Other Star Alliance gold levels cannot sit free in E+ anymore.

The most important thing to me is to maintain *G status. I don't fly too much domestically on United so losing E+ isn't too much of an issue.
