Help with RTW ex-OTP
I need to travel in November. Here's the criteria:
Originate OTP (Bucharest, RO) between 2 and 4 Nov
Must be in Washington, DC area by 5 Nov, 2006 for the Redskins/Cowgirls game.
Must be in DAC (Dhaka, Bangladesh) from 11-16 Nov.
Return to OTP anytime after that.
I know there's a 3 stop minimum and, given the pain-in-the-neck location and routing restrictions for both OTP and DAC, I figure more stops will be required to make this work, even at the minimum mileage level.
Preferred stops other than WAS and DAC: SEA and CAI, but other than that I'm easy. I don't really want to do a Europe stop on the way to DC, I'd rather break up the IAD-DAC trip into 2 or 3 portions to ease the pain. I don't mind 24-48 hour stops anywhere other than the two main stops.
I'd like to maximize my time on UA metal for the E+ seating (I'm 6'5" and can't consider a trans-pac in E- without shuddering).
I've got an: OTP-IAD-SEA-SIN-DAC-CAI-OTP itinerary sorta laid out, but I'm not a huge fan of the CAI stop: Having made four stops already, at that point I'll probably just want to get home but I can't make the program do it.
Any help/suggestions/telling me I'm an idiot for not considering X, Y and/or Z is appreciated.

Ah, sorry. The only stops I must make are DAC and IAD. I couldn't get the RTW calculator software to generate a valid itinerary returning to OTP directly from DAC (too many connections? Bad scheduling?) so I had to insert an intermediate stop, in this case Cairo. Problem is there ain't much West of DAC and East of OTP for *A customers to connect through, at least not that I can find. I'd love to fly back from DAC to OTP as quickly as possible but couldn't make it work. CAI is an OK stop, I used to live there and have friends there, but at that point I think I'll be ready to just get home.

Sorry if I'm missing something.
I have no problem at all generating an itinerary with the calculator such as:
OTP-xMUC-IAD-xNRT-SIN-DAC-xBKK-xVIE-OTP
Whether or not it works for your timing or preferences of course is a different matter.
You will have to make a stopover >24 hrs in a third city to comply with the rules, and you will have to make sure you are not trying to do it all in less than the minimum time.
