other than the fact that he had 10 whickies & passed out on you, is it wrong of a fellow passenger to wear a turban (or whatever their ethnic dress may be?)..you aint in your living room or a party to enforce dress code...!!

I spent the $200+ extra to book in B to get miles, but discovered on the return from ICN that my UA M+ isn't on the ticket. I have been fighting w/ UA for 6 months to get the credit, but w/o success. It was an e-ticket, so I have no receipt. I sent copies of my boarding stubs with the tix #. but now I'm told SQ will only issue credit if the ticket receipt is supplied. They are just playing games, as they know I flew it, they have the ticket #, etc.

My other complaints w/ SQ: the flights are always full, mostly of non-FT types. This flight I had the last open seats next to me until the last moment when 2 men w/ turbans come. The one next to me has a death grip on my arm rest, squishing me. Once in the air, he has 10 whiskeys & passes out on me. The main steward tried to limit his drinks, but the other girls kept supplying them. On the return, the check-in agent tells me the flight is completely full, so I don't change from the 1st row of coach. (I was 1st to check in, which is essential on SQ as they don't pre-assign seats). Most rows have empty middle seats except mine, which turns out to be the baby row. Fun for 10 hours!

The bottom line: SQ treats UA elite like dirt, even after charging much more for the mileage credit.
This was certainly one of the most interesting posts I have seen in a while.

Unfortunately, UA E+ is not design with the obese in mind, but for the long-legged.

How is it you don't have a receipt for your e-ticket? These are always emailed, faxed or even a paper copy posted to the buyer. Did you not print out a copy and take it to the airport with you? Is there not a copy still lurking in your delete bin, if you deleted it, or still in your email inbox? Do you not keep a copy for your financial records?

Please be understanding. Only some of us are knowledgeable "FT types."

But you knew this already, as per your post in November 2005!

SQ do allow pre-assignment of seats.
But even if you weren't able to, being a *G member surely you would could have requested a different row at check-in - after all, "Most rows have empty middle seats".

Well this was an amusing read.

Blaming an airline for a larger passenger??? Come on - get a grip!

As others have said, e-tickets are always issued with an e-receipt that you can print and is usually emailed - if you did not keep it it is your fault(sorry). Also, that you didn't check your BP before boarding and didn't note the *G or the lack of your number on it - again your fault(sorry). You claim to be a "FT type" - which I assume means savvy to the ways of miles, airlines, the travel expeience, yet you've almost proved in actions that you yourself are NOT a "FT-Type" since you've failed several of the cardinal FT "rules" when flying.

I hope you've learned from your experience and next time, whoever you fly with, you have a better experience... but remember like your family you can't choose your seatmate!
