What are the chances?
:-: I'm Star Alliance Gold and will be traveling with two friends from ICN to MNL soon. I can bring only bring one friend into the lounge. Has anybody tried to bring in an extra friend with any luck? Will laying on the charm work? I have a ton!

. He lightened up and said, "well, in that case no problem ... you are very welcome ... enjoy the lounge!"If this helps, take note that your chances can increase if you ask nicely. I'd say most people regardless wouldn't mind - half of them just look at your card and don't even make note of the visitors that come in with you anyway especially if it is a busy lounge. If not, at least you tried.
[edited: if all else fails, place a request here on FT in the appropriate lounge's airline forum to ask if any *G will be around at ICN at the time and have them bring your other friend in, or look for passes to that lounge if anyone has them. Good luck!]

being nice is the key isn't it?...
I've had it work once in NRT as well... although those Japanese ladies standing by the door seemed to be quite strict...

My two friends (doctors) I'm traveling with are African-American, and I'm as white as they come
, so the "immediate family" thing wouldn't fly here..... (no pun intended)
So if anybody is goiing to be at ICN that evening, let me know!

There is always the option of taking one friend in then leaving it a while and go out alone and bring the other friend in. If it were most places other than the infamous ICN then I'd fancy your chances.
Always worth a go, they can only say no !!.
