However, to come back to my initial question: Which is the best StarAlliance FFP? I hate Lufthansa, I think they are unfair and I don't want to deal with that company if possible. Lufthansa bought my FFP (Swiss TravelClub) but they didn't buy me.
As I already wrote: I am interested in getting most out of my miles for European award tickets. Swiss was perfect for me:
- up to eight segments in one award
- European awards only 20k miles
- one stop over plus one turn around permitted
- NO fuel surcharges on awards (unlike M&M!!!)
- possibel to book awards up to one hour prior to departure (M&M two days!)
- etc etc etc
Is there any alternative in the StarAlliance to Lufthansa? Your help is appreciated.

There's no answer to your question as it depends on your travel pattern. One example: BMI has intra-european awards for 12000 miles (nonstop flights)/19500 miles (connecting flights), but only between certain european countries. If this fits your travel pattern - fine, if not, you might look for a different program.
hence you have to do the research by yourself, hints like the *A comparison chart, Aeroplan, BMI DC etc. have been given.
I do appreciate Kerstin Ruf's postings regarding the facts she provided especially in the STC forum. While I do not agree at all with her opinions, I find it interesting to learn about the airlines' approach to FFP that sometimes may lead to disappointment for savvy flyertalkers. But at the end of the day we all profit from the airlines' different approach to FFP as this enables us to find loopholes and (what we consider) bargain deals.

Kerstin suspended?
why? does it mean she suspended her flyertalk membership herself or was she kicked out? why that? she wasn't trying to sell us her couch in Australia or tried to convince us why we should wear palestinansian scarfs (: - she only shared some important info with us. Well, I hope lufthansa didn't suspend her for letting out internal information...
We appreciated it and love to see women (like this) in important positions - much rather than d**ks like that infamous arrogant CEO who lets his pasengers get delayed without an apology...

Mr Ziplaufwerk I agree with you! There is anything better than Lufthansa!
