Problem getting RTW calculator to load
Greetings,
I installed the RTW calculator yesterday, but it basically doesn't work: I get the cloud splash screen when I load it up, but nothing else happens, and if I hit the "Skip intro" button the window goes blank and stays that way. Anybody else had similar problems?
FWIW, I'm running Windows XP, and the Star Timetable works fine. (I also had major problems with the conduit thing, but getting rid of that helped...)

Nope, works fine for me.
This is begining to sound like a IT help desk
... IMHO, the first thing to do is to make sure your PC has the minimum requirements to handle the program. Were you opening too many applications when you tried to launch the RTW calc?

And I suppose it would be way too hard to check for the correct versions and print an error message if it's required to run the software

I had the same problem as jpatokal. I was using WinXP with Mozilla (Firefox), and the RTW Calculator failed as described. The solution is indeed to download the flash control with IE... apparently there's a different one for IE and Mozilla, and the Star Calculator required the IE version.
