Air Miles

If i am purchasing a 39,000 business class ticket, how do I ensure that I will get maximum points/miles for the ticket. I have read that airmiles are not given on some journeys due to differing code classification of the ticket etc. Does that mean that although I have bought a business class ticket, different journeys using the *Alliance ticket will be different in the sense of being awarded miles or not?

Im a bit confused but Im sure to many in here its a very basic question!!!!

Help!!!

Best advice I can give is check the terms and conditions of your host scheme. All the carriers use D (except AC is booked in C) on the International portions of a Business Class RTW. (If travelling domestically in Thailand, Japan, Korea there are also class differences).

As a general rule you will, or rather should, get full miles for Business Class. Probably even extra miles for a Class of Service bonus, but that's something only your host scheme conditions can tell you.
Cheers.
