Extending a *RWT

I guess the answer is going to be a clear 'no' but just maybe...I have a *RWT starting in August, coming back August next year, with another *RWT ex-CAI in the middle. Due to a relocation I need to re-route but then won't be able to use several flights as they would take place after my 12 month 'anniversary'. Is it at all possible to book the flights within the 12 months and then change the dates later? Or is there another way of doing it, maybe by paying a fine?

I am not aware to extend the 12-months life-time of a Star-rtw - often, if your plans change before having started any flight-segment, the best way is to cancel the whole ticket (costs and possibility to do sa depend on where you did buy the ticket / on which continent you start the ticket/trip) depend and start again with a new one.

Yes, that would indeed be one way of doing it. In this case, however, I have to leave in August and can't extend the departure date so it wouldn't help unfortunately.
