Would it be possible to upgrade an "O" (Award) with SEN vouchers on LH?! It´s not S or W ...

I am sorry for being naive as well. "O" class is an award First Class. You asked about a possibility to upgrade from First Class? ;) Are you thinking of getting the upgrade to the crew rest or pilot's seat? ;) :D :D :D

Award tickets can only be upgraded (if there is a higher class) by using the higher mileage for the higher class of award.

So no, cannot use SEN voucher to upgrade an award.

Blue1 uses SAS EuroBonus as their FFP so the same rules apply than on SAS. Remember that Blue1 does not have a Y+ product (Economy Flex with SAS), but offers full service in Y on all routes.

My experience is that in case of overbooking Y class both SK and KF give automatic complimentary upgrades to travellers in this order:
1. EBP + travel companions (regardless of status)
2. EBG + travel companions (regardless of status)
3. *G
4. EBS

Additionally one might get a complimentary upgrade from Y all the way to C by requesting it at the gate provided that:
a) there is space in the front cabin
b) the person handling your feels you deserve it (depending on his/her mood and your status/tidyness)

Paid upgrades:
My experience is that at least SK honours status more than paid upgrades. I for instance (EBG) have been automatically upgraded with my travelling companion from Economy to Economy Extra (even though travelling on a Q fare). And then after boarding reseated from E-Extra to Business because somebody else bought an upgrade from Economy to E-Extra. This happened even though my tavelling companion didn't have any status at all on SK.

Here's a question that I didn't see directly answered. I'm going to be a new 1k in about.. oh a week (w00t!) and part of my nefarious RTW plan was to upgrade my united segments using SWUs. When reading the terms and conditions on United SWUs I didn't see anything that specifically excluded RTW fares (although it seems like they're excluded for LH). So .. you can upgrade united RTW segments with SWUs, right?

TG Upgrades
 

Hi,
I am a NW PLT and my wife just booked us on TG Sha-Bkk for our honeymoon :confused:
I read here that I can only use miles to upgrade, then another poster said I can try "standby upgrades". I have 0 miles on TG as well :(
Can I upgrade with cash? Will TG comp me status with *A? I have tried to read through all the posts, and I could not find out if this is possible.

I am on a RTW M fare and I was able to upgrade the SF-ORD-LHR segment to C.

As for the SIN-NRT sgement I can't even get on the waitlist because the waitlist is closed :(

*A-wide mileage upgrades now expanded to include OZ, TG and TP (as well as LH family, NH and SQ already).

1K UA upgrade on US Transcon?

Is there any method to upgrade a USAir flight ORD-PHL-MAD using United miles or other United upgrade instrument? Buy US?? at gate? Does 1K status matter? US ticket on US metal.
