How about linking to the new star alliance fare finder app

Looks great, it does multiple searches across all star alliance carriers. Also, it offers details on the booking class so you can work out how many ffp points you can earn.

Available on the apple app store

A comparison of the alliance benefits can be found at www.flymeforfree.com

Although it's a lot harder to get to say BA silver to certain Star Alliance silver sometimes

stifle Oct 29, 2012 5:35 am

BA Silver is comparable to Star Gold really.

http://www.staralliance.com/en/faqs/fares-faqs/ has the majority of the details.

You can sort based on the program. It does vary FFP by FFP on the their websites if you wanted to use miles. If you are purchasing the flights thou, its consistent.

Please advise additions/corrections/bad links. Updated to post #83. Work in progress

Now this is a blast from the past!!

More currently, I just discovered this Star Alliance lounge finder tool:

Apologies if this has been posted, but I read the entire thread and did not see it!

Is there anyway to get a wiki on this thread? I think it'd be very helpful!

stifle Jun 20, 2013 12:15 am

Yup, just press Thread Tools and Create a Wikipost. Anyone can do it.

saranyc Jun 20, 2013 7:38 am

Hmm anyway a moderator could put the first post in the thread (with the links) as a wiki? When I copy and paste the links disappear. That post is probably a good start.

stifle Jun 21, 2013 8:37 am

No need for a moderator, just click quote on the thread and that gives you the code with links to copy and paste.

Staralliance timetable in PDF format

Does anybody know why the pdf version of the timetable can no longer be found on the staralliance website ? I tried asking the staralliance helpdesk but they were of no help at all ...

Presumably they felt not enough people used it and that it was hard to maintain updates every 2 weeks, whilst the new electronic tool is updated automatically, without need for the website?

TechnoTourist Apr 15, 2019 12:59 pm

Few missing airlines, can this be updated?

lamphs Dec 16, 2020 5:38 pm

There is a good wiki on the OW forum with current information on RTW tickets. I can't find anything recent for *A. Does anyone know of a good thread with tips and tricks for a *A RTW ticket?
