UK Status Comp Query

It is now over 3 weeks since I registered for the Star Alliance Promotion as a BA Gold and I haven't received anything, despite the website saying it should take 2 weeks to get the materials from the * promotion people. I also haven't had anything yet from LH M&M my chosen *FF scheme.

Does any FT'er know how long things are taking on average, or have any contact details (email or phone number) so I can check the status of my application? I am quite keen to take several *A flights but am holding off until my registration and tier promotion is confirmed.

i received mine in about 2-3 weeks, from my QF match.
maybe they have been reading about all the forged documents from FT and are checking you out

I did actually suspect this might be the case, but would have been happy to copy my BAEC card or whatever if contacted, the trouble is if BA don't actually produce paper statements, what else can you do?

I don't think it was wise for those who were so clearly taking the p*** to tell everyone this so publicly, since it will inevitably lead to further scrutiny of genuine applications.

Exclamation My experiences are

Air Canada - processed upgrade within 2-3 weeks, card in 4-6.
BMI -Still not done after several weeks.

Friend with Lufthansa - 2 weeks for new card.

Frield with United - Nothing after several weeks.

I (and mrs pfd) applied at the beginning of February via United as we were already MP members. heard nothing for a month. emailed United MP as there is no email on the statusmatch website. United said to fax over the other program details (BA silver). 2 weeks later we have MP premier and cards arrived 2 weeks after that. No upgrade or lounge certs though. looks like this was matched directly by United and not via Star Alliance.

I and Mrs W registered for this in Feb - BMI diamond club. I got the *A upgrade vouchers about a month later - nothing for my wife. Nothing from Diamond Club for either of us - an unhelpful individual at their contact centre (evidently deluged by irate status-match customers) said there was no phone no for the Status Match organisation. and we just had to wait

This sort of treatment is counter-productive - it doesn't want to make me fly with a *A airline at all, if they can't even get this simple registration process right.

I shouldn't worry too much as my SAS match took almost 7 weeks to come through! I've received the upgrade certs and have gold status on the SAS website, but still no gold card.

Another member of Virgin Flyer posted this eMail address and I received a swift reply:

[email protected]

Good luck!

Red face e-mail address worked --- I think!

Well I used the email address suggested above a couple of days ago, and lo and behold, today I am Gold with BD. Now,of course it could be the email address or else the original application finally made it to the top of the pile.

My guess - email address.
