Any Fare Expert?
Need help to take a look at the below fare rule for the following flight:
Fare Basis: "F"
Airlines: NH
Routing: BKK-JFK-BKK (via NRT)
Published Fare: around THB170,000 r/t
I understand this fare is re-routeable and endorseable, but it also seems like the way I want to re-route is very limited. In other words, if I fly with NH on the sector BKK-JFK (via NRT), can I re-route and endorse the return segment to another airlines e.g. SQ & TG on JFK-FRA (o) - BKK?

Your fare construction point is LAX, as explained in paragraph 22. The last part of paragraph 17 (combinations) is listed above that in the italicised rule above - it states travel must be via the fare combination point.
This is apart from the fact that the fare is for all intents and purposes a BKK-LAX fare (with an add-on). To return back to BKK via Europe is over in mileage (if a mileage fare), not permitted (if routing fare) and is not a return fare as you would be using two global indicators.
That's my read on it, anyway.

I'm wondering what paragraph 22 says - however, in reality, the flight route to JFK is via NRT, howcome LAX comes up in paragraph 22?
By the way, I asked my initial questions to an agent, and the agents says (very briefly), that this ticket can be endorsed to JAL without surcharge provide the same routing, and endorsable to a US carrier with a surcharge; also endorsable and rerouteable over Europe, but subject to a surcharge. The thing is, when I ask what the surcharge means/is, I am not getting any answer.

I think para 22 is quite clear. The fare is constructed over LAX - it doesn't mean you FLY via LAX, but they're saying they're using the BKK-LAX F fare with thwe add-on value of LAX-JFK to give you the fare basis you pay even though you're flying via NRT (since NH don't fly LAX-JFK anyway).
