Just on the whole MX topic -- now that Grupo Taca is looking to get in on *A...

Reading the press room on MX, it seems MX are doing a JL and prostituing (maybe not the right word!) themselves everywhere, see the pictures in the press releases:

MX & AA tie up
MX & LH tie up (will maintain r/ship)
MX & Iberia.. tie up...

Iberia mentions Frecuenta MX members and Iberia Members will have redemption opportunities... seems like MX are getting closer and closer to OW.... but..... they are still in bed with LH???? ... but they don't like UA... it's getting all too confusing for me!

Yeah, but LH sounds distinctly less enthusiastic about their ongoing relationship with MX. LH has not put out any press release on the matter, except for this bit of bad news in the Miles & More newsletter:

News from Mexicana

On March 31, 2004, Mexicana will be leaving the Star Alliance. This means that unfortunately, as of April 01, 2004, you will no longer enjoy the usual Star benefits, such as the accrual of status miles or the Executive Bonus, on Mexicana flights.
