Which Star Alliance Program?
I am about to go Gold with BA Exec Club then do the status match for a *A Gold.
I have existing membership with UA, from a few F sectors I flew domestically in US/Can, I don't fly UA much these days so of limited use.
I occasionally fly with BD, but almost exclusively domestic. Most of my long-haul is to Thailand, I am flying exclusively with BA or Oneworld long haul right now, but would change this to fly Thai or other *A probably Austrian/SAS possibly Lufthansa.
I would welcome advice on which programme might offer the best benefits to me, I guess mainly in terms of possible upgrades. I usually tend to fly discounted J occasionally First.

Hi
I think LH could be good. Double miles in C/D and triple miles in First plus 50% Bonus in C/D and 75% in First (25% in Economy).
And the status is valid for 2 years... After 50000 status miles you receive a voucher for a European upgrade. Twoo of them can be used for an intercontinental upgrade.
I have both UA Premier Executive and LH Senator. I use the United card only when I fly UA economy for the 100% bonus miles.
