Rome

I am planning to go to Rome this coming March. I am based in Baltimore, and am a LH Miles and More member. What would be the best way to get to Rome for a decent price and maximizing miles? Perhaps something on LH or SAS?

If you want to fly with Lufthansa or SAS, be prepared to change planes twice. An alternative is United. You can fly from Baltimore to Philadelphia, from where you can continue to Rome.

Also if you are US based, American companies will be cheaper since the recent collapse of the US dollar.

You can take LH from IAD to either FRA or MUC and connect to FCO.

Alternatively, USAir flies PHL-FCo direct/non-stop daily. USAir miles can go to LH program.
