Did some more research and found a SAS business lounge in terminal B and a UA RCC in A. Seems I'll have access to both (can anyone confirm?), so I wonder which one is nicer.

I don't know about SAS and UA RCC but there are LH Business + Senator lounges in terminal A. The SEN lounge is pretty small, they serve snacks, no WLAN but you can hook up your computer modem to an analog phone line.

I think you are confusing EWR (=Newar, New Jersey) with some other airport. IIRC LH uses the SAS lounge. Please correct me if I am wrong.

I noticed that LH operates out of the same gate area in B as SK. There SK has the only lounge and it's quite nice. No computers though, IIRC. The SK lounge is about ten times better than the RCC, but you can't access the latter anyway.

I am pretty sure that A only serves UA and AC.

I am not confusing EWR with another airport but the last time I have been there was after Thanksgiving 2002 and it was definitely a LH SEN lounge I have been to, not SAS but things might have changed since then.

LH definitely used the SK lounge earlier this year. And that lounge does have a pair of PCs linked to the internet, plus kiosks for your own. SQ uses another lounge which is not an official STARGold lounge, so no access unless flying C/J or F on SQ.

Given US security these days, you would likely not be able to access the RCC as you would need a STAR partner boarding pass for an airline operating out of that terminal [AC or UA]. As noted, the RCC is quite inferior to the SK lounge, which offers free bar and light snacks as would be expected from an international carrier.

Just be advised that it can get very crowded with the LH crowds. That carrier operates one of its all-C/J B737 or A319s late afternoon, so these folks join SK's own elites and C/J passengers. [Don't forget to check out the neat bottled water on offer. One of the nicest designed containers I've come across. Comes in still and sparkling. You'll want one for the flight...]

Gee, where are the computers?

The water is Voss from Norway. It's just like a shampoo bottle and made from PET.

The computers are just to your right just before you enter the big lounge room. Quite slow, but they work.

Thanks for all the replies. UA has an RCC (which I used on a UA departure) - nothing special. As for terminal B, it's easy to confuse the SAS lounge with a LH one. There are LH staff there (I've seen several LH pax changing seat assignments etc.) and the little *G area looks like a SEN lounge. Didn't notice computers but the snack and drink selections were very nice.
