LH C - expectations
Hi All,
My wife and I are flying YYZ-HKG this December. She will be flying on an award C ticket YYZ-FRA-HKG and return January reverse route.
I've never flown LH (any class). I've read up on various threads on LH but get mixed feelings. Just wanted to tell my wife what to expect. Comparisons to UA C (transatlatic) would be most welcome as I have some experience with that.
Cheers!

Keep your expectations in check. LH's Business Class product is its current Achilles Heel. Of course, if you benchmark it against UA's C, then LH will seem like heaven. Enjoy your flight.

seats (space) in C is a little bit less comfortable (compared to UA). LH C will introduce 100% flat C seats in the next 12 months (probably not as early as this ded/jan on your flight segments).
Food (for my European taste) and consistency of good (very frequent) personal service is better.

far better then TG?
it depends on your personal preferences.
Flying into Thailand I prefer TG: nothing (for me) beats the Thai smiles and adds to my joy of going there once more. Also, if you prefer Asian (Thai) food, you will be better served in TG.
Flying out of Thailand (red eye): I prefer LH C.

My wife will give an interesting perspective as she only flys 2-3x a year and so far has been in coach only. She flew YYZ-NRT-SIN in coach AC and UA last fall. I am going the other direction so will not be able to experience LH C myself (UA over the Pacific).
