Have you considered doing as many of these as possible before 15 Dec for the extra SWUs? The redeemable miles are arguably worth about the same as the fare.

Yes I get DOUBLE UA (real) miles on the long LH LAX-FRA-LAX for sure. All 1P and 1K do at all times. Not sure about today's TLV-FRA.
The double EQM I think only covers the SYD-LAX-SYD, but I'll be easily 1K again anyway, 5 years running.
As these are booked into H they cost nothing extra which is the great deal. You can upgrade using UA MILES on both carriers if you wish. I used 1K SWU's to FRA. And got an op-up on the TLV-FRA which was VERY un-expected.
