RTW Routing Question
Is the following routing allowed?
JNB-FRA-ZRH-FRA-CAI-MUC-FRA-LAX-HKG-BKK-SIN-JNB ?
FRA is always used as a transfer point. I'm asking, because travel starts in africa goes to Europe (stop-over) goes back to Africa (CAI for a stop-over) and then comes back to Europe again for a stop-over.
Your help is greatly appreciated. :-)

Hmm. I'm not sure. While the middle east is considered part of africa you're NOT returning to the same country you left from and IIRC it's permitted under the rules (because they only stipulate 1 transatlantic, trans siberia or transpac crossing). Run it by your prospective T/A or airline and ask if they would book it. I think it would be OK because you have no direct way to get from JNB->CAI on Star without going through Europe.

The routing itself is fine - both Africa and Europe are in Area 2. I still don't know why they have the continents specified in the rules as there are no restrictions or requirements for "inter-continental travel". Unless there is a fare from one country that requires it.
Just have to worry about mileages and the other peripheral rules like stopover lengths etc.
Cheers.
(Oh - and nicely done too btw. This thread finally gets us past the total of oneworld threads/topics!!)
