RTW ex-LAX?
No, that's not a reference to the constipation heard 'round the world...
I've seen great deals for *A RTW fares from Australia, SA, and several other countries. But I can't find online pricing for RTWs from the US (specifically LAX) anywhere other than on Lufthansa's web site, where the pricing is more than 4 times higher than leaving from other countries (from their discounters).
So... any suggestions on where I can find pricing online for RTW fares from LAX?

I believe that the RTW pricing you find on LH for origin in USA is correct. I have not found any heavy discounters of RTW fares in the US. www.airtreks.com gives you fare quotes for RTW by email.

US has highest fares for RtWs originating in that country because of the high value of the dollar, strong economy [compared to other countries] and market that will pay the additional cost. You might want to consider flying up to YVR or down to MEX and starting your trip at those points. This can save you a fair bit over prices ex-USA, and only add a couple of hundred dollars for an advanced purchase return coach ticket.

To add to Shareholder's recommendation, you will need to buy an ex-Canada RTW from a Canadian travel agent. OneWorld recently changed its policy. US travel agents can now only sell at ex-USA prices. Canada has different guidelines, and agents there continue to be able to sell ex-Canada, ex-JNB, ex-AKL, or anywhere else you might care to begin your trip.
