There are 1 Million visitors reported to Rose Monday's Parade. Among them: us Flyertalkers.

Belle plus Warren and Blondebomber even made it to the Düsseldorf newspaper's website
for Belle's pic see the pic links on the upper right: "...die schönsten Wagen"
BB and Warren are @ "... Rosenmontag Rathaus1"

There is also a small video of the entire FT bunch at city hall (among many others) Quite short and bad quality, but those who were there will recognize each and everyone of us.

"United Airlines and US Airways are close to code sharing deal that could provide both struggling carriers with benefits of last year's failed $12 billion merger without actually combining the two airlines, several sources familiar with the matter said..."

Any effect, either way? US needs something and so does UA for that matter. Anyone?

Well I'd rather see them as a seperate star partner of course than part of UA. Thank goodness that Turkey died at birth. Still can't see UA would be pleased about them in * as a stand alone. I sadly can't see US Air being with us /medium long term anyway.

A later phase of the agreement also includes provisions for US Airways to seek to join United in the Star Alliance...

Actually the link from Brussels city center to CDG by rail is down to 1hour 10 minutes these days, with several trains a day. SN do still run one flight a day IIRC, but AF stopped due to lack of traffic, booking seats on the train on a codeshare basis instead. No one (except, I admit, those on a mileage run!) wants to pay double the price of a train ticket to travel out to the airport in BRU (20 mins), check in (30 minutes to 1 hour before), and then have a flight that lasts almost as long as the train journey once taxi times are taken into account!
