Another Routing Check
I'm also contemplating my first RTW scheduled for next April -
I would like stopovers in SFO, CLT, JFK/LGA, IST & LHR (Due to the dates I need to be in CLT & IST, I can't fit the stopover in LHR between them). If possible, I'd also like to stopover in LAS, however this isn't essential.
Below is my routing I'm working on - does anyone see any problems with it, or have any suggestions.
SYD-LAX (UA) - Transit
LAX-SFO (UA) - Stopover
SFO-LAS (UA) - Stopover
DEN-COS (UA) - Transit
COS-DEN (UA) - overnight - but not a stopover
DEN-ORD (UA) - Transit
ORD-CLT (UA) - Stopover
CLT-ORD (UA) - Transit
ORD-LGA (UA) - Stopover
JFK-LHR (UA) - Transit
LHR-VIE (OS) - Transit (Possible Stopover)
VIE-IST (OS) - Stopover
IST-VIE (OS) - Transit
VIE-LHR (OS) - Stopover
LHR-SIN (SQ) - Transit
SIN-MEL (SQ)
Thanks
Beck

Looks OK to me. US stopover limit OK, 1 pacific, 1 atlantic crossing. Mileage could be an issue. A quick calc shows it comes to 28910 miles. But those quick calcs can be +/- 100 miles, given that I just used LGA and the airlines have their own way of crunching the miles.
Pretty good itinerary IMHO, lots of sectors and still should be below the 29K limit. Of cause we can expect a trip report upon your return???

Another routing check! Am a little concerned about the Karachi - India part (and am hoping that Pakistan - India direct flights resume by then).
LHR - FRA (LH) (transit)
FRA - ZRH (LH) (stopover)
ZRH - VIE (OS) (transit)
VIE - Amman (OS) (stopover)
Amman - Cairo (overland)
Cairo - Dubai (SQ) (stopover)
Dubai - Muscat (overland)
Muscat - Karachi (TG) (stopover)
Karachi - Bangkok (TG) (transit)
Bangkok - Kathmandu (TG) (stopover)
Kathmandu - Delhi (overland)
Delhi - Bangkok (TG) (stopover)
Bangkok - Kuala Lumpar (TG) (transit)
Kuala Lumpar - Sydney (OS) (stopover)
Sydney - Auckland (NZ) (transit)
Auckland - Nadi (NZ) (stopover)
Nadi - Los Angeles (NZ) (transit)
Los Angeles - Chicago (UA) (stopover)
Chicago - Boston (UA) (stopover)
Boston - London (UA)
Milage not an issue at this point - I think It's slightly over 29K when using airport codes, but may not be when using cities - will need to play around with it. More concerned about the legality of the routing and if anyone has any suggestions.
Thanks!!

Remember that the mileage of your overland sectors is also taken into account, so this may well be more than 29k ....
