RTW Stopover rule clarification

I cannot seem to find a definitive answer in previous posts. I assume that if the time between the scheduled arrival time of your flight and then the scheduled departure time of the next flight is less than 24 hours it is not considered a stopover. Thanks.

stopovers on international flights are stays of more than 23 hours 59 minutes (between official arrival and departure) or the next connecting flight (which could be more than 6 days away ...) whatever is longer.

For inner NorthAmerican flights/connections the time limit is down to 3 hours 59 minutes or next connecting flight, whatever is longer.
