Which FF program when you do not fly much

I have some friends who come to the USA from Europe flying Lufthansa and United.

They will fly about 15000 miles, and as someone who does not like to fly without getting miles, I will suggest that they also join a program.

The problem is that they hardly ever fly, but I will suggest they join United's program as these miles do not expire as long as they have activities every 36 months. Then at least they will have a US domestic upgrade next time they come over

Please let me know, if you will advise them to join another program such as SAS and Lufthansa.

SAS EuroBonus points will expire after 5 years. If your friends doesnt fly so much I would recommend that they would sign up for UA since the miles doesnt expire as long as you have some kind of activity.
