Question about RTW trips

I am based in Toronto and was wondering if I could combine a few seperate trips into one RTW trip. For example, I usually make quite a fews to LA a year and a trip to India as well. Could I combine these trips into one RTW trip. For example: YYZ-LAX-YYZ-LAX-YYZ-LAX-HKG-DEL-LHR-YYZ.

I remember reading about people planning trips such as (yvr-yyj-yvr-yyj,etc.) where the same city could be visited more than once on the same itenirary.

Thanks for any help recieved.

your plan probably fails because of stopover rules. A star-rtw-ticket will allow multiple coonnections/transfers at the same place, but only one stopover.

Due to the *A stopover rules (only ONE stop per city) you'd need to substitute LAX with SAN or PSP - and get to LAX by shuttle or car. Same is for YYZ ... you'd need another city / airport.
In additon you need to pay attention that there are only 5 stops within US / CA permitted.

There is no general rule about maximum 5 stops in the USA. It is included in some RTW fares and not others. You have to consider which RTW you are looking at, because the rules are different for each:

STAR: Minimum 3 stopovers (> 24hrs), maximum 15. (Max on STARLITE 5). Only one stopover in the same city, no more than one international departure and one international arrival in country of origin. (so you can do YYZ-YVR-HKG->, but not YYZ-ORD-YVR-HKG-> )

However, SQ/AC, it is minimum 3, no maximum. AC only within Area 1 (North America). Country and city of origin must not be transited.
